Games

Why play?

Games are fun. But games can also get serious. Children use them to play, but more than anything, they use them to learn.

This fact remains true for adults, serious games are an important way for adults to learn; they create a safe space to foster empathy between players, test new ideas and learn content in an engaging way. Serious games use fun to motivate people to ask questions and explore topics that are often taboo.

Custom designed board and card games can specifically target the “pain points”. As a deliberative dialogue tool, (simple) serious games set the stage for further exploration of emotive issues and can seed a common lexicon and direction amongst players who are often unable to see past their own assumptions and needs.
